  • PROF CON 3 - YEAR OVERVIEW

For my professional contexts I chose the web option. This was a successful choice for me as I knew that website design would be an invaluable skill for me when I graduate and look for jobs. Also great on my cv. My website is currently online and I am very happy with it as it represents my clean graphics style and also has quirky features. This year has been a great one for me as I feel ready to go out into the big world of design, due to experience I have gained through placements and out of university activities.

  • Cherry Babies -

Child minding service! Freelance brief that i received today, the lady is called Cherry so i thought the idea of the name was really nice. I wanted it to be simple and not too childish as the service if for ages between 0-10. Me and the client is very happy with the result as it does exactly what it says on the tin! It applies to both genders and is not specifically aimed at babies. I am going to look to add in childminding under the “Cherry babies” text.

    Mini Diana -

My little lomo camera is currently broken! I just found these photographs which i took with it when i was in Amsterdam in 2011. I absolutely love the different effects which you can create by doing slight changes every time you take a photograph. In these particular shots i held down the capture button which enables the camera to keep taking the same photograph over and over again. It gives the impression of movement within the still image and shows character. The colours in the different images give a great feeling of mood and the environment in which the photograph was taken.

The first image really reflects the typography as the word Alcohol which is being shown gives the feeling of drunkness and feeling dizzy which reflects the picture due to the exposure of the camera.

The water images gives the feeling of tranquility and romance due to the colours and the peaceful reflections that the lights give on the water surface.

The last image was taken with lots of exposure as a bus drove past me it created the effect of wind and a quick dash of lights which looks intriguing and mysterious.

  • I was working on my CV recently .. it needs revising and making better however for a quick creation in 30mins i thought i did pretty well. It is very simple but that is a style of design that i really like and i do think hat CV’s which are straight to the point can better better and especially for the employer they need to be easy to read and understand. I do think that simple and straight to the point CV’s with not much information can have a better way at securing an interview because otherwise they know everything about you and wouldn’t need to ask many questions! I need to adapt it a little and also i need to adapt my website!
